Yes. The sample workspace runs SQL on fictional billing data. Try the editor, charts, exports and ready-made questions without an account or a credit card. When live AI drafting is enabled, the demo uses Claude Haiku 5.5. Curated example queries remain available when live AI is unavailable.
Does this work if I only use Paddle?
Yes. Connect Paddle on its own and explore your customers, subscriptions, transactions and invoices. Stripe is also supported independently. You only need both connections if you want to analyse data from both.
What’s included?
One plan includes the complete SQL workspace, query templates, saved reports, custom dashboards, report sharing and CSV exports. You also get 1,000 AI drafts per month with monthly billing, or 2,000 per month with yearly billing, shared across your workspace.
How does AI help me write queries?
Describe what you want to understand and Claude Haiku 5.5 drafts SQL for you to review. The demo uses sample data; your subscribed workspace uses your connected billing data when you run the query. Both use the same AI model, and you can inspect the SQL and its explanation before running it. Accuracy still depends on the question and your data; AI-generated queries should always be reviewed.
Can PayQuery change my billing data?
The query workspace is read-only. It analyses a synced copy of your billing data, so running a report doesn’t charge a customer, change a subscription or issue a refund. AI drafts SQL for you to review; it doesn’t execute it automatically.
Are there limits on query results?
Queries currently return up to 5,000 rows, subject to result-size and execution-time limits. CSV exports contain those returned rows. You can narrow the date range or aggregate your data to build a focused report.
How does the free trial work?
Your first subscription begins with a 30-day free trial. A payment card is required, and Stripe shows your first charge date and amount before you start. After the trial, PayQuery renews at $29 USD per month, or $299 USD per year if you choose yearly billing, per workspace, plus any applicable tax. Cancel in Settings → Billing before the trial ends to avoid the first payment.
Is there a free plan?
The public demo is free and uses sample data. Workspaces with your own data use the PayQuery subscription after the free trial; there is no permanent free workspace plan.
What counts as an AI draft?
Each question you send to Ask AI uses one draft. SQL you write yourself, running a query and refreshing your dashboards don’t use AI drafts. Your allowance resets monthly, including on yearly subscriptions. Unused drafts don’t roll over. Short-term request limits also apply to keep the workspace responsive.
